Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show in Bracebridge

On July 20 - 22 2007 I participated in the Muskoka Arts & Crafts 45th annual Summer Show in Bracebridge. The setting was idyllic. The show was well attended and everyone very relaxed since we had 3 days of glorious weather. Here are some of the things customers bought and kindly modelled for me.

Annemarie Hope with triangular hand knit shawl with tufts of fleece and bits of cotton.

Cassiday Clayton - Bracebridge

Nancy Howchin - Bracebridge 2007

Nancy Howchin bought a handknit ribbon shawl similar to this one except in the gold/rusts/greens shown below. The picture I took of Nancy did not work out and I'm hoping if she reads this that she will be able to send me one! Thanks Nancy though for modelling it for me!

Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition

On July 6,7, and 8th I participated in the TOAE as it is known among those that are familiar with this outdoor art show held at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. All artists and artisans eagerly seek out to participate in this extraordinary show. The show is well attended, has a discerning clientele, and the artists always find their peers equally as awe inspiring.

There were many highlights during the show. For myself, there were some people I greatly admired who came in to admire my work. David Kaye, who has a gallery at 1092 Queen Street West (entrance on Dovercourt) and also has a website - www.davidkayegallery.com. And Barbara Klunder whose free spirit and sense of humour I also appreciate greatly!

The greatest honor of all though are those that think my work worthy enough to purchase and so here you will find pictures of some of the people who agreed to be photographed with the items they bought.

Lynn B Johnston

Lynn Johnston bought two winter merino boas very similar to this one from me at the One of a Kind 2005. She said she was buying a second one for her friend Phylis Diller! What a thrill!
